So, our next destination was to highlands. My house is pretty near to Genting Highlands and Bukit Tinggi, so early in the morning, we drove to our first stop of the day which was Berjaya Hill Resort at Bukit Tinggi, Pahang…best known for the French themed village/villas – Colmar Tropicale…^^
Situated at Bukit Tinggi, Pahang, it was only about an hour plus driving distance from my house. It is a hill resort near to Genting Highlands. While the latter is more popular for the casino, Berjaya Hill Resort will suffice those who wanted a more harmony, peaceful, family-based vacation. It consists of a myriad of recreation and activities such as mountain biking, extreme sports/adventure park, rock climbing, equestrian, botanical garden, animal park, Japanese garden, golf park and the most popular of all, Colmar Tropicale – the French themed village/resort!
Our first stop was Japanese garden. There was gentle wind and fresh refreshing air…just one tiny little problem…YOU HAVE TO WALK UP ALL THE WAY TO THE JAPANESE GARDEN FROM THE PARKING! Believe me…when you have a 60 years old aunt who constantly complain of muscle sore and a little boy who barely can walk properly and there was no stroller, walking up the hill is something not so enjoyable after all! Lol…~
However, had you see little Danish eyes wide open and thrilled about every little things around him, all the tiredness and soreness were nothing at all..! Haha… He was pointing all around while making all sort of funny noises…he was daring enough to walk near to the river/pond and stared at the fish, reluctantly to leave the fish.. he was ecstatic to be surrounded by nature and surely enough, I let the nature do the work of teaching…
After the Japanese Garden, I think more than half of my energy had been drained off…lol…but we continued our journey to the next stop..the French themed village (forget about animal park n etc etc etc…I HAVE NO MORE ENERGY!)
Covered with cobble street and giddy tourists, what lies in front to welcome us was the little “town”, furnished with buildings of architectural designs and elements from ancient surrounding villages of Riquewihr, Turckheim and Kaysersberg. The scenery was absolutely amazing. The little “town” was nicely decorated with fountains, sculptures, gardens and all sort of greens ! There were some arcade centers and game stalls but the choices of food were limited (the price was a bit more expensive and some cafes/restaurants were really not worth the hype at all!) and there was lack of washroom in the area.. you can find one in the reception/lobby area. But as much as a cozy little town it is, I was pretty much amused by the cozy and hippie vibe of the atmosphere that I felt like yelling BONJOUR…haha…
We did visit Genting Highland after that but was too tired so very much little pictures were taken. As I am writing this and reminiscing all this good memories I have with dear, I have really realize how much I love this man and even a small trip like this with his family can lit my days! Dear, I love you..
